Seamless sound. Reliable performance. Every time.

Live Sound & Production

At Automattika Productions, live sound is approached as a precision craft—the intersection of acoustics, technology, and musical intent. With over 20 years of professional experience, founder Matthew Westmeyer brings a systems-level mindset to every production, emphasizing clarity, reliability, and consistency across venues. Beginning his career in 2004 with regional sound companies as a roadie and live recording engineer, Matthew developed deep hands-on expertise in rigging, cabling, signal flow, and system operation. Since 2016, his work has expanded into full-scale front-of-house mixing, live multitrack recording, and broadcast production in professional and university-level performance environments.

All engineer-included productions feature mandatory venue-specific system tuning and optimization, including loudspeaker placement, subwoofer alignment, gain staging, RF coordination, and corrective EQ. This process is fundamental to achieving even coverage, feedback control, and intelligibility—ensuring that every performance translates accurately to the audience, regardless of room size or acoustics.

Technical System Description

Automattika Productions operates a touring-grade digital audio system built around a Midas M32C digital console paired with a Midas DL32 stage box, providing 32 remote-controlled mic/line inputs and 16 outputs over a 150′ etherCON digital snake. Front-of-house reinforcement is handled by QSC KS118 powered subwoofers and QSC K12.2 full-range loudspeakers, delivering high headroom, controlled low-frequency extension, and precise vocal clarity.

Wireless and monitoring systems include Sennheiser EW-DX 835-S digital handheld microphones and a Sennheiser EW IEM G4-Twin in-ear monitoring system, allowing for clean stages, reliable RF performance, and consistent monitoring for performers. All systems are powered through Furman power conditioning and deployed with professional cabling and power management. The entire rig is designed for fast load-in, scalable deployment, and seamless integration with DAW-based recording, hybrid mixing, and broadcast workflows when required.
